Getting Started: Appraisals Made Easy

Working with us is straightforward, whether you’re a designated body or an independent appraisee.

1. Initial Contact

Get in touch with Tom, our Lead Appraisals Coordinator. The team will arrange a personalised call or virtual meeting to discuss your needs and how we can meet them.

2. Set Up Profiles

We’ll collect the appraisee details and email an invite the appraisee to create a FourteenFish Account, they simply have to set a password.

3. Appraiser Allocation

We’ll assign an experienced in-house appraiser to the appraisee and share contact details, so that there can be an agreement on a date for the appraisee’s appraisal month.

4. Portfolio Preparation

The appraisee is to complete their portfolio appraisal in FourteenFish to submit at least 2 weeks prior to the appraisal date.

5. Appraisal Meeting

2-3 hour discussion covering all relevant areas, appraiser documents in line with GMC domains of good medical practice.

6. Review and Sign Off

Appraisee can request edits or additions, both appraiser and appraisee sign off the finalised write-up, RO/SP can view the final report for revalidation purposes.

As our Lead Appraisal Coordinator, Tom manages the smooth running of the appraisal process, working closely with both appraisers and appraisees. He oversees our appraisals database and feedback collection process, ensuring data is handled efficiently. With previous experience as Accounts Director and a deep understanding in medical appraisal and revalidation, Tom leads our growing team of coordinators, ensuring our appraisers are supported to deliver exceptional appraisals across the UK and beyond.
